Vintage West Michigan TV / Radio Merch

Post by blakeharms » Mon Mar 09, 2020 10:43 pm

I've been scouring for any old West Michigan radio / TV promotional items and merchandise, particularly i-96, B-93, and WOOD, though I'm looking for everything. Does anyone have anything they want to show off, or has anyone ever come across anything at thrift stores or garage sales in the area? Thanks!

Dude, go to ebay.
I searched under Grand Rapids radio and there's play lists from WZZM, WVGR and WLAV.
There's a KLQ hockey jersey, postcards from WOOD radio of Willy and the Heritage Hill building, a 'CUZ bumper sticker, a backstage concert pass from 'LAV.
And a yo-yo from WOOD TV 8 and coffee mugs from channel 13.

Saw a couple of neat WZZM 13 promotional print ads from the 70's with Craig James and Bill Steffens on there too.

Bummer...to bad you didn't post this a month or so ago. I had boxes of coffee mugs I donated to Volunteers of America in Corunna and both in Lansing. You may want to look there and also their other stores (Burton and Westland).

I had some WGVC/WGVU, WCUZ, WKZO (590 and TV 3), and more.

Without digging into boxes I know I have a WCUZ radio umbrella.

Regional Broadcasters (WGRD, WTRU, etc.) gave away this sales aid cigarette lighter to clients. https://photos.app.goo.gl/TvNtmALmuP6WPP8W8

I miss the old 96.1 WKEZ! :hat

(They don't hold a candle to the old 810 WBYY, though.)

I think I feel the same as Andy, but I have I-96, WOOD, and EZ 1057 gear. As well as several incarnations of W-Light, W-Lite, and WLHT between 84 and 98.

This is for you Andy O! Hopefully I did this right. Here is a pic of my KLQ hat from around 1993 or 1994? Can't remember for sure when and where I got it. I think I got it at a live remote out at the old Studio 28 movie theater with Dave and Allison when they had the Rock N Roll Evening Zoo radio show.

Here is a WZZM 13 frisbee that I got probably in 1983 or so. It was up in White Cloud and they had their hot air balloon there.
