Now we need 5G phones those should be on the market soon currently there are none to my knowledge.
There are some. For example, the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G Edition

5G phones are crazy expensive right now. Until 5G is more widely available it's not really getting a 5G phone. From what I understand it's only in select markets right now. Honestly I feel rolling out 5G capable phones before the infrastructure is fully in place is a bit premature.

Yeah. There's a cheap 5G phone from LG but last time I used an LG phone it got very slow very quickly... no thanks!

The companies know early adapters will pay more just to have the "new thing". They can show it off to all their friends.

Reminds me of a news story I saw around 1998. A couple in Colorado had just purchased the very first digital HDTV on the market. As I recall, it was a big honkin' CRT set with a 40" screen. They paid over $8,000 for it (equivalent to $12,542 today). I believe the first Sony Betamax console set sold for around $5,000 when they hit the market in 1975 ($23.597 today). The standalone Betamax unit that came out a year later sold for $2,000 ($8.922 today). That's a lot of cash just for the distinction of having something before everyone else. Still, there are people who will fork it over.

Shortwave is the ORIGINAL satellite radio.
