What is banning gonna do? After all, they are all inanimate objects. Those things themselves don't do anything on their own and requires a user.

1. Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

2. Plastic bags don't pollute our waterways, people do by not disposing of them properly.

3. Vaping pens don't make people sick, people make themselves sick by choosing to use them.

Personally I think the government has more important things to deal with rather than petty things like this.
Rather than allow people to be adults, make their own choices, and live with the consequences, there is a class of people who believe they’re actually “doing something” by limiting choices for adults. They believe in simple solutions, fewer rights, and central control.

These same people would be behind prohibition. Boy, that worked out great!

Rather than people being responsible for their actions, it’s so much easier to just ban something and normally get the opposite result (see gun ban in Chicago).

And why ban toxic chemicals like PCBs and pesticides like DDT? They don't kill anybody. It's just the people who use them.

Why ban weapons grade anthrax? It doesn't kill. It's the people who disseminate that are the real killers.

A land mine has never killed anyone. Blame the people who set it.

The nanny state has just gone too far.
Agreed. Not only is the substance or material not responsible, banning such things mostly causes the opposite of the intent. Prohibition anyone?

It’s like all you idiots saying “Big bird died today!” No, he never lived. The person who voiced him died today, but not a puppet.

Also, people want Bert and Ernie turned gay. They’re muppet puppets, not people!

Why ban abortion?

Abortion doesn't kill babies. It's the Doctors who perform the procedure.
Why ban murder? It’s the murderer committing the crime, not the word.

Exactly. That's the whole idea of this thread.
To ban words?

Remember, or maybe this is the first time you’ve heard this, the Constitution (including the 2nd Amendment) is meant time restrain government, not you.
