EDIT: I see the announcement on MeTV's website. Hooray! Now I have a secondary affiliate for when WDIV pre-empts MeTV shows!

If Buckeye ever added WTVG-DT4 to their lineup, it should be on whatever channel it is on.80sTalkRadioFan wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2019 2:33 pmAnybody know what channel it'll be on Buckeye Broadband?
My furthest DTV tropo: KDKA Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at 202 miles for three days in January 2017 and a night in September 2017 with only an Antennas Direct C2V!
Current setup: Antennas Direct C2Max (2018-present)

Re: WTOL may be removing MeTV
They've been running announcements on ME-TV, usually at the first break where they normally promote other shows. It's also on the ME-TV Toledo website at the top. WTVG doesn't seem to mention its .2 .3 or .4 channels on their website. By the way, it looks like 48.1 is running something called AMGTV on the weekend where they used to run Justice programming.

WLMB is family values. Topics like homosexuality will not fly on that station, which is viewer based incomed, which also gets donations from Christian business owners and some churches. So if MeTV changes the lineup to something risky, WLMB would have to drop them. MeTV/Weigel is also not a satellite feed service or a distributor either.80sTalkRadioFan wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 6:30 amWonder if WLMB channel 40 would be interested in picking up MeTV. Seems like a good fit for them, since they air similar shows to MeTV, when they're not airing religious programming. They only have one subchannel, "Radiant TV" last I checked, so perhaps MeTV could be on 40-3.
Re: WTOL may be removing MeTV
A network is a network, regardless of location. Licensing and fees not being contracted. Networks and stations both want the money for being rebroadcasted. For example, 13.2, to be 13.5- Ion, is not at all local in Wood County. 13abc never signed a contract with Spectrum. Spectrum only offers the national feed only. There also could be exclusivity issues with Comcast. It's kinda like WBGU 22.2 and 22.3. Spectrum has the exclusive rights to those, such as Buckeye has with 30.2 and 30.3.80sTalkRadioFan wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 7:23 amNot sure what would prevent them from airing subchannels from Detroit stations, if they offer the main channel in Ohio.
Wonder if all the 13.x channels will look like crap. Remember, more channels equals less bandwidth.
By the way, its pointless to add more diginets, when you can't even sell your x.2 channel. How many promos and PSA's are on CW13? Way too many, and too few actual paid ads.

WTVG 13.4 is currently (10PM Monday 9/30/2019) running a slide: MeTV Toledo WTVG Coming to 13.4 (Buckeye Ch 113) Tuesday 10/01/2019 @ 12:00 AM, and ION is on 13.5.

Well, looks like they're cramming in more diginets. WeatherNation is moving to 13.6, and something new is coming to 13.3.

Re: WTOL may be removing MeTV
I was hoping that they would dump ION, as I'll hate to see "channel 48 video quality" on the 13 diginets. If 13.3 was Antenna TV, that would be sweet.
Long story short: run a scan on your OTA TV sets tomorrow.

Re: WTOL may be removing MeTV
It's hard to say with Christian stations what subchannels they're allowed to carry or not. I haven't heard of one that had MeTV personally but I wouldn't doubt if one exists out there. Seeing what RadiantTV looks like, it kinda reminded me of "eScapes", though without the smooth jazz and a lot of bible text on the screen.80sTalkRadioFan wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 6:30 amWonder if WLMB channel 40 would be interested in picking up MeTV. Figures they wouldn't, aside from the few sitcoms they do air at all.Radiofreewill wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 6:48 pmNo way would they even consider it.80sTalkRadioFan wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 6:30 amWonder if WLMB channel 40 would be interested in picking up MeTV. - Carol Burnett? Too Sexy
- The Twilight Zone? Too Frightening
- Dick Van Dyke? Mary Tyler Moore shows too much leg in those capri pants
- The Love Boat? Way way way WAAAAAAAAAAAY too sinful
I suppose it may come down to personal tastes or budget. WLMB does like asking viewers for cash a lot.rugratsonline wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 11:40 pmA few Christian stations have included MeTV as part of their subchannel lineup, including WLLA in Kalamazoo, a sister station to Sandusky's WGGN-TV.
It would be nice if someone did buy out the station and really turned it around.rugratsonline wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 11:45 pmBut then again, channel 48 has been a perennial engineering dumpster fire, with mismatched volume levels between the feed and local commercials, as well as all local material being miscued. The station was run on the ultra-cheap ever since its days as an UPN affiliate WNGT.Toledo Eleven wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2019 10:40 amWatching COZI or THIS on 48 would be better than [Justice]. At least they don't interrupt the shows with local ads on those 2 channels.
Sad too, my dad loves Grit.
It's only a shame the subchannels offered in Detroit aren't available on cable down here or we could watch Movies!, Buzzr, Decades, etc.80sTalkRadioFan wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 7:23 amI'm sure Buckeye Broadband will hear it too, particularly from subscribers in northwest Ohio/Toledo. Since WDIV Local 4 Detroit offers MeTV, but Buckeye only offers it to their Michigan viewers in WDIV's service area, even though WDIV's main channel is available in Ohio, minus NBC and a few syndicated shows. Not sure what would prevent them from airing subchannels from Detroit stations, if they offer the main channel in Ohio.

Re: WTOL may be removing MeTV
I love it. It's 8:30 Tuesday morning and still no Justice on 11.2. Nothing but a black screen. Still no station identification on 13.4 (ME) and they're just running the national feed with no local ads. Does anyone think that 13.3 might end up being My Network TV?
