Shock and Awe!
Heard them first on W4, picked up the LP at Dearborn Music, was that the 70's?
Far out man, I must have tripped right thru that era :hat

Well, let's see...

I had the first two albums on cassette (now have them on CD). I believe I had the first album on 8-track, but can't remember for sure (after all this was 40+ years ago).

When Candy-o came out, WILS 101.7 ("1O1 FM") sponsored a light show at Abrams Planetarium (on MSU campus) for the new album.

Ah the memories...

Ric's first solo song & music video "Something To Grab For" (from 1982 "Beatitude"). Went to # 47 (Hot 100) & # 5 (Billboard's Mainstream Rock) in February of 1983. Model Marianne Gravette appears in the music video. Marianne was Playboy's Playmate Of The Year 1983. Marianne also appeared on the album cover of Ratt "Invasion Of Your Privacy" & the music video "Lay It Down" in the Summer of 1985. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ml9ZB98EfzY
That Beatitude album is amazing. He stripped down the Cars sound and took a more serious lyrical approach.

YEP, "Beatitude" was a great first solo album BUT "Troublizing" (1997) is his best album!!!
