WTF is channel 4 doing?

Post by iloveblackpeople » Thu Jul 18, 2019 8:18 pm

Showing "paid programming" during the 8pm hour on a Thursday night? This shit should be on at 4am on a Sunday morning. They are showing some bullshit about deformed Vietnamese kids. Yeah I know it's the middle of July but NBCs legacy is Thursday night. Just a strange programming decision.

They were preempting a rerun of The Wall.

Christ, they must be having some serious money issues if they have the guts to put in paid programming during primetime hours.

I very rarely watch the main channels anymore. I watch WDIV for ThisTV and MeTV. If it wasn't for weather alerts, I'd delete the main channels.

The digital subchannels have to be really killing viewership on the main ones. 99 percent of my local viewing is spent on H&I, ThisTV, MeTV, Buzzr and Movies!.

A lot of WDIV's prerecorded news story packages have an awful audio disturbance.

This problem has been occurring for at least three weeks.

The sound is faint and distorted.

Are they going to just ignore the issue or is someone over there going to fix/replace the faulty editing equipment responsible for the issue?

Why?
It's tedious to watch for a full hour and is more or less a ripoff of the "Plinko" game from The Price is Right.

If it were a newly aired episode, I would've opposed the preemption, but the episode in question was a repeat.

I noticed that. I sent them an email and nobody answered yet so if I don't get an answer eventually I'm just going to assume they don't care.

With his coldheartedness (and perhaps racism),guess whom iloveblackpeople will support in the 2020 Presidential election ?
I dont know. The shades of black supremacy in his user name had me guessing Kamala Harris, but the fact he doesnt seem to focus excessive efforts on giving resources and medical care to citizens of another country, its doubtful.
Maybe the libertarian candidate?

You sound like a heartless individual. The program is about children with cleft palates and whats wrong with WDIV airing this program apparently you don’t have a child with this condition and you should be counting your blessings, I hope you sleep well tonight and God bless you.
Of course, in the past stations would preempt network shows to present a Billy Graham, Oral Roberts or World Vision special. In terms or World Vision, some would preempt an entire evening to show a marathon of these specials.

I miss the days when it was acceptable to preempt for live local sports on free tv.

It wasn't a prerecorded story but at 5:55pm today there was about five seconds of distortion while Jason Colthorp was speaking. It sounded like when a reporter is outside with heavy wind hitting the mic.
