I would love to see Smooth jazz return, I don't see it though. The Cloud isn't known for trying innovative formats. Still, I think rhythmic AC (like 106.7 was for awhile) might be a good option.

In the just released Nielsen audio ratings, 93.1 Gnash FM rebounded a bit. They remain the lowest rated full power commercial FM station in the market (excluding ultra niche 103.5 WMUZ), although Hot 107.5 didn't fare much better.
Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.

If Cumulus is bent on keeping it country why not follow suit with what iHeart did and bring back W4 Country. Granted, it would be on a different frequency, and would be Fake W4 just as WLLZ is Fake Wheelz, but the heritage branding can't be as worthless as the Nash brand is and has been.
Branding/Name: 93-1 W4 Country Detroit
Call Letters: WWWW-FM
Slogan: Detroit's home for real country variety
Format: Modern country with variety from the 80's, 90's and 2000's. Something like 60% new country and 40% gold.

How long has W4 been in Ann Arbor? 15 years at least. They are a successful brand, why the Hell would you blow it up to bring it back to Detroit, where they only people who remember/care about W4 Country are at the top of your demo? Country is an 18-49 driven format, the core of that audience won't remember W4 as a dominate Detroit country station.
Plus you confuse the Ann Arbor listeners who wonder why their station suddenly changed it's name. Dumb.
If they don't sell and stay in the country battle, I agree the Nash name is a tainted brand from a failed concept. I'm not a fan of naming stations myself, I'd keep it simple and do what Nash NYC did and just call it Detroits Country 93-1 or some variation of that.
