It would be difficult - but not impossible - to run profitably as a standalone.

My guess is 45 North Media (operator via LMA of Eagle 101.5) is probably one of only two or three for-profit broadcasters who I could see being interested in WMOM.

Dom & Jen Theodore - who have two stations in Cadillac and one in Big Rapids - perhaps is another suitor.
Theodore is completely focused on Cadillac. Maybe if they could move WMOM East to a respectable signal in Caddy they could make it work.

Synergy seems like the one of the few options outside Jesus operators.
IMHO, 45 North is the most likely option as a simulcast of the Manistee Eagle 101.5.

Up North's 107.9 CDY has a similar format to the previous WMOM format.

Synergy would have to dump one of their existing FMs (almost certainly 96.3 would go) to make it work.

Speaking of Cadillac, there was a Henderson docket a few years ago that would have dropped in a new Class A 102.7 in Evart (with potential tower site near Marion). If this had happened, WMOM would have moved to 96.3, the then-vacant 96.3 allocation would have moved to 97.7, and WMLQ would have moved to 104.3.

So then, how do you explain B103.9 in Big Rapids?

Look on a map, Big Rapids is 25 minutes away. Manistee is over an hour and in a separate economic area. I would be very surprised if he acquires it and doesn't try to move it.

So, are you suggesting the Big Rapids station is being run out of the same building in Cadillac that is used for WCKC & WCDY? (Not a rhetorical question on my part, as I honestly don't know!)

It *is* a pain in the ass to drive from Cadillac to Ludington; no disagreement from me on that point.

WBZX has its own office and studio in Big Rapids. http://b1039bigrapids.com/contact-us

Cadillac to Big Rapids is more like 40 miles. However, the Theodores have a home near Mecosta, MI.
