By the way, WMPX/WMRX (Sunny 97.7 FM in Midland, MI) hasn't played that song maybe except on Mike Harvey's "Super Gold" show & Dick Bartley's "American Gold" shows.

I won't be going to Three Oaks, Michigan (between New Buffalo & Battle Creek) to see The Ides Of March on Saturday, May 4. It would have been my 3rd time seeing them. Saw them at Dundee, MI on June 20, 2003 & in New Buffalo, MI in August of 2006!! Both shows were free!!

Former Grand Funk Railroad singer Mark Farner appears on the next Ides Of March album out in late June or early July.

The song "Get It On" by Chase (Summer of 1971) were produced by the same team who did The Ides which went to # 24 on Billboard Hot 100 Charts & also a one hit wonder. Jim Peterik wrote "Boys And Girls Together" for their debut album & sang on 2 tracks on Chase final album "Pure Music" in 1974. What happened was Bill Chase & 3 members were killed in a plane crash in Minnesota on August 9, 1974, same time that president Richard Nixon was done!!

Rock critic Dave Marsh said the group Chase "Flee" (no stars out of 5 stars) (from the Rolling Stone Record Guide book from 1983)!!

Mark Farner probably first met up with the Ides Of March when performing at small venue Concerts in SE Michigan where they both performed in the late 1960s. Mark was with Terry Knight and The Pack at that time. Jim Peterik has had quite a career as a performer (Survivor-Eye Of The Tiger) and songwriter (cowrote Caught Up In You, Hold On Loosely, Second Chance by 38 Special) since The Ides Of March.

Is THAT where they got the idea for the 486-SX?

The Ides of March were really good and should have had more than 1 hit. They had a few other songs that charted and got significant airplay in the midwest. Including You Wouldn't Listen in 1966 and the follow ups to Vehicle, Superman in 1970 and L.A. Goodbye in 1971.
