“Hate” should not be a crime. If “hate” can be a crime, why not joy? Why not sadness? Why not love? Why not being BEYOND ORGASMIC?!
It’s a belief, an attitude, an emotion, an opinion.
Politicizing an emotion seeks to control people. Don’t like what someone says? Call it “hate speech” and seek to outlaw it. Support one group over another? Call any crime against said group a “hate crime” and seek tougher penalties.
It’s all political, folks.
Let’s celebrate humanity, not the ability for one human to hold power over another.

There’s no need to make uncomplicated things more complicated nor to create something just to try to wield more power over someone else.screen glare wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2019 10:58 am“Hating hate” is not a hate crime. However it may be motivation for a legally defined hate crime to occur.
Notice how there is a politically-created term “hate crime.” Notice how there is a politically-created term “hate speech.” Where is “love crime” and “love speech”? They don’t exist because right now they are not politically expedient.
There is crime, and there is speech. No need for political modifiers.
