Broadcaster Mark Elliot (Nils Johanson) Has Passed Away
Broadcaster Mark Elliot (Nils Johanson) Has Passed Away
Passed away suddenly after a short battle with pneumonia, surrounded by his family, in the early morning hours of January 11, 2019, at the age of 65. Predeceased by his parents; Anna (nee Utas) and Emil Johanson. He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings, children and all the people closest to him.
Nils will be remembered for his dedicated work with People Helping People (from 1995 – 2016), his work within the recovery community and the LGBTQ+ community. He impacted more lives than we can count. He was known for his “golden voice” in radio in Winnipeg, Ottawa, Windsor, Quebec City, and Toronto.

This Mark Elliott is alive and well... although I never worked at WNIC - did work in Evansville after a stint in Northern Michigan.
And now back on the air Saturday mornings on Lite 96.3 - Petoskey Traverse City. This Mark(Nils) was a great jock on CKLW.

Working for Cruella? Lucky bastard... Glad to hear you are around, I could have sworn your resume listed WNIC.
