Best Local TV News in Detroit
Best Local TV News in Detroit
Who has the best News in The Motor City, Is it WJBK, WDIV or WXYZ. My favorite is by far Channel 7.
Re: Best Local TV News in Detroit
Probably WDIV because they seem to take a more serious approach, like actually dealing with real issues, and less fluff. BTW, did you notice they all seem to over empasize black viewpoints? Whenever they talk to the people on the street about gas prices, etc. they almost always only ask black people( probably because the stations are in black areas), but still they could make an effort to talk to INTELLIGENT people or ones who can actually express themselves!
Re: Best Local TV News in Detroit
I think 7 is probably the one that is the most balanced in respect to White and Black Issues and Interviews, Just my opinion.
Re: Best Local TV News in Detroit
WXYZ has become an outlet for infomercials produced by The Cleveland Clinic and Consumer Reports. I feel like I'm watching them swirl the drain, and for that reason I continue to watch.

7...
2 has always seemed like a joke and 4 is too tabloidish for my liking...

Depends on what time of the day.
Before the better half gets up, I watch mostly Channel 7 because I can mute the boob tube and still read the "tickertape" below to see what's going on.
Once she's up, it's Channel 2 until Wendy goes off at 1.
In the evening, it's all about the eye candy.
Glenda whenever she is on. Karen Drew when Glenda is not on.

CH20. Hour in the morning, hour at night. More than enough
Currently has 52 OTA channels

I think there is some kind of informal rule that a black person always has to be interviewed, if possible. It's funny to see a black person being interviewed at a shopping mall with nothing but white people in the background.Toggs wrote: ↑Tue Jan 08, 2019 6:54 pmProbably WDIV because they seem to take a more serious approach, like actually dealing with real issues, and less fluff. Re: Best Local TV News in Detroit
I rarely watch the local TV news these days, but I do occasionally turn on 2 during the morning for something to have on in the background while I mull on my PC.
My furthest DTV tropo: KDKA Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at 202 miles for three days in January 2017 and a night in September 2017 with only an Antennas Direct C2V!
Current setup: Antennas Direct C2Max (2018-present)
