Lots of stuff. It can vary but my top artists are Van Halen (prefer Sammy era), Rush, Green Day, Beatles, Zeppelin, Mellencamp, Aerosmith, even down to obscure AOR stuff like Touch, Steel Breeze, The Kings or i-Ten. My iTunes has stuff going all the way back to Bach and Beethoven. But I'm sorry, a lot of new stuff just isn't my thing.

Yep. When I was working for CSX, I reached out to the band for an updated copy of their album for the station, they sent me a personal copy with an autograph. It's still downstairs in my music room. My mom gave me all of her old tapes a couple years back and now I have the original 1980 cassette. Pretty good power pop album.

I am aware of those, but my top albums from 1980 include Scorpions "Animal Magnetism", Cooper's "Flush the Fashion", VH "Women and Children First", Billy Joel "Glass Houses", Black Flag's debut EP, Rush "Permanent Waves" and a couple other obscurities. Never a dull moment in my record collection.

Mine neither, I have over 10,000 LP’s that I Started collecting way back in ‘72 we used to have a store call E J Korvettes that every weekend had label sales you would get a dollar off the LP’s on certain Record labels each weekend at the time LP’s were $5.99 and $4.99 on sale this was during the 70’s to bad it’s not like that today and that not all cassettes were a dollar more.Radio Stations used to do remote broadcasts from Record stores especially when there was a new album release WABX ,WRIF and W4 done this a lot.

Re: Old Music for young Folks
I would have to say the 60s is my favorite decade of music, but I don't limit myself to specific era's or genre's of music.
Music is my life.
Re: Old Music for young Folks
But did the music that was popular during your High School years have more of an impact on your musical taste,In my case I do remember more of the music that was out in my High School years which were ‘68 -‘73

I've always really liked Mountain's Theme For An Imaginary Western.

No, I was in high school from 2005-2009.
I would not say the music out then had any impact on my music taste, as I had already grew up listening to older music in the 90s.
Music is my life.
Re: Old Music for young Folks
This continues as you get older...
I'm 59, and about 10 years ago I discovered the great series of albums that Frank Sinatra did for Capitol Records in the 1950s and early 1960s. One of the best musical experiences of my life. He sang much more than My Way, Strangers in the Night, and New York, New York.
Similar experience with Peggy Lee, whom I only knew from Fever, I'm a Woman, and Is That All There Is? I particularly love her album with George Shearing (another great discovery).
And the older I get, the more I appreciate Elvis Presley. That rich voice that absorbed so many influences and produced music in so many styles, particularly in his movies.
