I've been waiting for this for YEARS.
I've been listening all day, I'm completely addicted.
It's like Pre-2010 WNIC.
I just hope they don't eventually start going "fresh" like WNIC.
All that's missing are amazing JAM Jingles and local jocks.....like Chris Edmunds and Kevin O'Neill.

Re: 98.7 The Breeze (Soft AC) is here!
I see and am glad they are not JUST sticking to "super soft" songs unlike the start of iHeart's "98.1 the breeze" in S.F (I actually contributed a bit to their current playlist by giving their P.D. a small list of more "upbeat" songs by artists like Sheryl Crow, Bonnie Raitt, and Amy Grant, so now they do play the few upbeat ones I suggested)
Today on 98.7 I've heard some "upbeat fun songs" such as:
Elton John - Crocodile Rock
Orleans - Still The One
Maroon 5 - This Love
The Eagles - Take It Easy
Tracy Chapman - Give Me One Reason
Fleetwood Mac - Say You Love Me
Rupert Holmes - Escape
I've even heard a couple 60's tracks, "You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman" by Aretha Franklin and "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King
I'm hoping to hear more 60s motown in the mix.
And oh wow, as I'm typing this, John Denver's "Rocky Mountain High" just came on
EDIT:
"Orinoco Flow" by Enya just came on now
Omg, I'm LOVING this station to death!!!

Regarding 60s songs,
They definitely NEED to play "Build Me Up Buttercup" by The Foundations and "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond!
Oh and a couple 1970s need to hear songs are,
"Get Closer" by Seals and Crofts and "December 1963" by The Four Seasons!
EDIT:
Let's not forget these two 90s AC classics I hope they play:
"All I Wanna Do" by Sheryl Crow and "Kiss From A Rose" by Seal!

Eazy change. Best of luck 98.7 . Play for the boomers that still listen to fm . What is taking the other losers to make some changes ? Cant belive it's ego . Keven O'Niell has the boomers wheelhouse . Plus he is won of the nicest persons in radio to meet and talk to .

I know this isn't Motown, but they just played "Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel" by The Tavares and now they are currently playing "This Will Be" by Natalie Cole. ☺

Doubt we'll hear talent before 2019, but Kevin and Edmonds are no brainers.

Delilah would be a trainwreck. For godsakes, keep it local. During my two tours of duty through WFMK, from 7PM to 12M we had "Lights Out" hosted by Jan Russo. Something like that would be amazing, especially with the frequency's Smooth Jazz history. Jan went on to work for Narada, the NAC/SJ label in Milwaukee. NAC is long gone, but an evening Smooth Jazz show would be a perfect fit. We made a fortune on it at WFMK.armchair pd wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 8:55 amDoubt we'll hear talent before 2019, but Kevin and Edmonds are no brainers.

They call it the Breeze.....Hmmmmm....Wonder if Lynyrd Skynrd secretly owns the station.
Re: 98.7 The Breeze (Soft AC) is here!
Definitely needs some jingles! 106.1 the breeze in Philly has some! 98.7 would sound even better with them "98-7 the breeeeeze"
I too notice the repetition... The funny thing is I have not heard anything by Celine Dion, Gloria Estefan, Jon Secada, Joshua Kadison, Take That, Michael Bolton, Tears for Fears, Barbara Streisand, Boy Meets Girl, Fine Young Cannibals, Breathe, etc.
But I love this station! Hope it sticks around.

If I hear "this girl is on fire" one more time....
The repetition is a bit much.

Re: 98.7 The Breeze (Soft AC) is here!
Spent my evening commute listening to it. Not bad, but little more rhythmic, and less melodic, than I would prefer for an AC format (this goes with the territory since very few selections from the nineties and the 2K-naughts are melodic).
I might work it into my evening commute, especially when I drive out of CKWW's Northeast-only DA. So I may alternate between WUOM and Breeze, unless I get bored with the Breeze.
My morning commute will remain alternating between WWJ and WNZK (Motown and a Cup of Joe Show with Crystal Mayo).

That’s a great show it’s to bad the owner of that station doesn’t just give Crystal the keys to the station and let her program it and call it the Great 680 or Mighty 690 she does a great job on the music it’s to bad its only 2 hrs a day.

Didn't they JUST hire a morning show?
