Kasich's Suspicous Timing Was to Stop Cruz?
I was thinking this same thing and ran across this article...

It also could be that he needed Cruz to win to stop Trump...either way Kasich most likely cost Cruz the nomination by staying in.

Ask not what your country can do FOR you; ask what they are about to do TO YOU!!

So you really think Cruz would have won if Kasich had dropped out sooner?audiophile wrote:Kasich most likely cost Cruz the nomination by staying in.
Trump always led. Whether there were 17 people in the field or 3 or anywhere in between. What makes 2 the magic number that would have stopped him?
The only way anybody had a chance against Trump is if the field had substantially narrowed MUCH sooner.

Re: Kasich's Suspicous Timing Was to Stop Cruz?
Yes, because a few more states would have denied Trump 1237. If got out at same time as Marco, then it would have shifted the race.

Re: Kasich's Suspicous Timing Was to Stop Cruz?
If we assume that you are correct, wouldn't it be doubly true that if Cruz had dropped out earlier, a candidate that could have actually been competitive with Hillary would have had a chance?
Cruz is too hated to EVER be President.
But please continue with your conspiracy theories of victory.

You've been pushing this for weeks now. Get some proof. It also could be that he needed Cruz to win to stop Trump...either way Kasich most likely cost Cruz the nomination by staying in.
Its also an absured thing to say when Cruz was getting more votes.
Cruz realized he couldn't keep under raps the asshole talk about him forever.
Maybe he'll start being nicer to people.

I could show you but I would need an easel and dry erase marker.
Don't misunderstand me, if I woke up tomorrow only find out Kasich (or Cruz) was the nominee, I would be shouting from the rooftops.
Kasich said he was going to fight to the end, then why didn't he do that? He lost 30+ states so why stop now?
PS Kasich was not known to be a nice guy either, it's just his persona for this race.
PPS Kasich got in too late, he as doomed from the start with low familiarity outside of the Ohio valley. By staying in too long, and losing and losing, he ruined his chances for 2020. He's been "Sanatoriumed",

Re: Kasich's Suspicous Timing Was to Stop Cruz?
Cruz would never ever have caught Trump. He isn't appealing to anybody outside of evangelicals in the Bible Belt and a fluke win in Wisconsin due to #neverTrump getting more traction than usual. It's over.
Re: Kasich's Suspicous Timing Was to Stop Cruz?
Trump never lead with more than 50%. Stop spewing this bullshit. If the field had been narrowed much sooner, we wouldn't be in the position. If the fat slob hadn't torpedoed Rubio in the New Hampshire debate, maybe Rubio wins New Hampshire and the despicable human garbage drops out at that point after winning no states.bmw wrote:So you really think Cruz would have won if Kasich had dropped out sooner?audiophile wrote:Kasich most likely cost Cruz the nomination by staying in.

Voting for Trump is dumber than playing Russian Roulette with fully loaded chambers.
Re: Kasich's Suspicous Timing Was to Stop Cruz?
No that's not remotely the case. This was an outsider campaign... Neither Cruz not Kasich are outsiders...Matt wrote:Trump never lead with more than 50%. Stop spewing this bullshit. Re: Kasich's Suspicous Timing Was to Stop Cruz?
Some are now calling for Cruz to unsuspend his campaign because of what they call Kasich's "dirty tricks".
Honestly I do not know what Kasich's motivations were, but the timing sure was suspect.
