Does Ron Burgundy know who he is talking to?

A place to go for those of you who wish to discuss happenings in OH, IN, IL, WI, and Ontario. OSU sucks, by the way.

Does Ron Burgundy know who he is talking to?

Sometimes you have to wonder if Ron Burgundy and the afternoon news on Q105 actually knows who he is talking to. The Old West End Fest is kinda cool, so is Maple and Main. At the end of the day though, they are just a craft fair in a neighborhood, with some small time local musician playing on a street corner. The "potential" audience doesn't really care about this stuff.

The bark in the park is just because Ron Burgundy on Q105 loves Baxter. He can't stop talking about his dogs on the air, so the Bark in the Park fits his interests. Does the "potential" audience like dogs, sure. But, I'm willing to bet they don't love dogs as much as Ron loves Baxter.

Oh, and the book thing at Waite? Yeah, nothing screams summertime than staying inside away from people reading a book.

The events in the "Loaded" weekend Q105 is gloating about are questionable for this station to be so "excited" about.

Is a woman from Perrysburg really going to drive into the old west end to walk through a neighborhood she doesn't live in? Mostly likely no. Is a woman from Maumee going to take their kids to a book fair at Waite high school? Again, most likely no.

Would that same woman want to feel young, cool, and if she wasn't going to go drink wine at the heights would she want to listen to the radio station talking about that event? Yes. Is it reported on by the news anchor on Q105? No. Why? Because he doesn't understand who he is talking to.

Here are a few things that Q105 missed the boat on that are happening this weekend. Why? Who knows. There are other events that the news anchors fail to report on that fit their "potential" listeners better.

Tomorrow is Friday, here's some show prep for you that makes more sense:

1.. Rose' on the Rooftop at The Heights. You know a younger targeted event that women would like to go experience.

2. Barenaked Ladies is this weekend. Look, everyone knows that you are giving away tickets to this. But, it's not on your list of the stacked weekend.

3. Bike week is in Sandusky this weekend. While I know that it's not really an in demo kind of event. Open your eyes and look around you, Toledo is a blue collar community. The women love to look at the motorcycle guys. It's worth a mention.

4. There is a fishing derby in town this week. While it doesn't sound like it's in demo. Anyone with a pulse knows that women make fun of guys who post pics of their big catch on Tinder. This event is a missed opportunity for an engaging discussion on social.

5. There are wine tastings at the zoo this weekend.

You're welcome, now go F yourself San Diego.
