Retired before my time in Toledo, I mostly knew him from commercials for Cap Averill III And Associates airing on the TV Guide Channel, but he had a damn good run at both 11 and 13.

He retired before my time but knew him for those Cap Averill and Toledo New Bath ads as well. My father met him years ago when he was in high school for career day and said he was one of the nicest guys you could ever meet.
I thought I was the only one who watched the Buckeye guide channel. They don't even air any ads anymore, just a scrolling guide.
