Dick Goddard, who was for 5 decades the evening weatherman at WJW, died today at 89. He was the meteorologist there well into his 80's and won the world record for longest career as a weather forecaster. May he R.I.P.

That guy had an absolutely sterling reputation. I’ve never heard a bad word uttered about him.

I remember Dick when I was attending college in Cleveland some years ago. One thing he said on one of his weathercasts, that I wrote down, is that 'it can never be too cold to snow'.

I remember watching him when I was in college in Cleveland back in the 80s. He was the top weathercaster in the area at that time.
