Antenna TV gone?

A place to go for those of you who wish to discuss happenings in OH, IN, IL, WI, and Ontario. OSU sucks, by the way.

In east Windsor Im getting WTVG,WTOL,WGTE and will get WNWO when WUDT leaves RF23.Used to get WBGU sporadically before repack.

WUPW/WMNT awol.

Splouge, if TOL replaces GRIT I thik theyre will be an uprising in T Town.Im sure its very popular there. Its at the top of my fav diginets list.

In fact I have to go, I think the Virginian is on GRIT right now..... :D
Now WBGU is on 22.x. That really should carry well up there.

We have WDWO on rf22 here in metro Det wont get WBGU anymore, but now get WGTE PBS back now that Global tv has left rf29 to rf35.

Folks in Toledo area need a good VHF combo long range to snag Fox2 rf7 and a lot of the diginets they don't get like Movies!,Buzzr,H&I and Decades.

Also CW50 is now on rf34 not rf14 anymore.

As WMNT is a LPTV, it's too weak to re received far outside Toledo. And considering its current programming state, it's pointless.

Wondering if he gets CITS 36.1 Hamilton instead WMNT Toledo. Otherwise, Mt. Pleasant also has a 36.1 too. Neither should be close, but not sure of his antenna setup.

Remember WUPW is now on RF 26. Does Detroit still have a LPTV 26 in analog? Doubtful, but possible. Once again, Mt. Pleasant has another frequency talked about... RF 26. So RF 26 and 36 in Mt. Pleasant. However, Mt. Pleasant is west of Bay City and an hour north of Lansing... So not that close to protect the frequencies. And I thought 26 was LPTV.

When WLPC-CD was an unprotected LPTV, it was on analogue 26, but they moved to digital 40 and upgraded to a class A when CHWI's Windsor repeater moved to that same frequency in 2012, from its original position on channel 60, which was phased out in that year.

CKCO Sarnia was gonna move from analogue 42 to analogue 26, but now they are instead going silent later this year.

Interesting... 48.2 and 48.3 are both color bars, yet register as 720p.

WMYD-TV 20 Detroit and it's subchannels are only available on Buckeye Broadband on the Michigan side of the border, namely Bedford township.
Yep, Bedford Township is practically the furthest Buckeye can offer the Detroit channels these days (and I'm about a half mile from the state line).
WTVS can be offered in Toledo, but it's the only full-power Detroit station not carried at all by Buckeye (even in Bedford)
I can remember when Buckeye used WTVS to fill in for periods when WGTE didn't broadcast like during the summer months back in the 80's.

WBGU had been reasonably reliable when it was on RF56, became perfectly reliable when it went to 27, and briefly perfectly reliable when it went to 22.

Weeks later, WNWO moved from 49 to 23. Since then, WBGU is only watchable when trop is in.

48 is now three-quarters basket case!

48.1 dark screen
48.2 color bars
48.3 color bars
48.4 Cozi TV

Sad to see this, as they had made a great coverage increase several months ago.

The test pattern where Antenna TV used to be is a 720 quality too, so if it because Antenna TV again, I would be happy with that, especially if they actually put the 'pointer' in to show the 48 channels numbers despite the 36 RF channels they broadcast on. Anybody home at '48' to answer our questions about what happened to Antenna TV in Toledo?

When I do a zip code search on AntennaTV's website, it says I should be able to get it on 20.2 with an antenna. Will have to try that, as I don't think it'll be back on WMNT any time soon.
I'm near Temperance and the 20.x channels are among the easiest to receive.

I'm going to have to get me a UHF corner reflector or something for Detroit as my periodic log is fixed/aimed at the Oregon, Ohio TV towers so that I can get from 11-36, but cannot get Detroit without something else facing more North than East.

Talked with a Becky... not the homophobic older black lady.

1) 48.2 and .3 - will be fixed, as they are aware. I personally left a message twice about that, so the homophobic b!tch would not call me names, for doing them a favor.

2) 48.1 blank - nobody was even watching their own content on their own station. Shows how poor the station is in general- programming and resolution.

3) WMNT's website - way out of date, which they were not aware of.

4) Monitoring here - mentioned monitoring this site for issues and problems, along with rabbitears.

It's all up to the "head person," whom Becky was going to forward all of this to. I think she at least understands that what you put over the air, makes your reputation. Let's hope the management in and out of Toledo get it as well. Toledoans and allot of NW Ohioans are tired of this tax write off.

THIS (48.3) is also in 720 progressive, with a 480 interlace test pattern too. So BOTH are STILL in 720p, with a 480 SD graphic pattern, with wings.

I did not have time to go into the "COZI Squeeze" on 48.4. Wish I had enough time. On all of my monitor/sets, I must force the wide screen, as COZI is pinched left to right. Should never have to do this, as the other analog 48.x channels must show as stretched.

48.2 has a poor-quality (black and white only) picture of Antenna TV on now (Thursday, 2/6/2020 at 5:10 pm). Are they making some progress with repairs? Update: Now at 8:00 pm it's in color!
