WTOL may be removing MeTV

A place to go for those of you who wish to discuss happenings in OH, IN, IL, WI, and Ontario. OSU sucks, by the way.

WADL has a 1080, 5 480s, and an audio channel. They all look great.

Just within the past week, WFLA here in Tampa has removed Me TV and replaced it with Court TV.
...with MeTV moving to WMOR, replacing This TV after about ten years on WMOR.

Ah yes. Checked it out last night. It's now on CH 32.

There's another channel I notice my wife watching called Buzzr. It's all vintage game shows. The audio and the video are out of sync by 3 - 4 seconds. Lips keep moving long after the person has finished talking.

Admitting you have a problem is the second step. The first step is finding a problem you really enjoy.

Buzzr is one of my favorites as well. Not available yet in Toledo but WJBK-Fox 2 Detroit has it on a subchannel.

Be nice to see who'll get that slot eventually.

3 things....

1) WTVG has MeTV on 13.3 now.

2) WMNT 48 has MyNet on, started at 8 pm.

3) Did anyone notice WMNT was sited for not logging children's programming? FCC says the need to cough up $13,000. Sounds like they made excuses for not filing mandatory paperwork. Also, public file on their website is not clickable. Actually, the WMNT part of their My Network TV framed website is missing. What a mess!

What about WMNT without any CC, and not remapping their channels so the RF36 gets rerouted to 48.1 etc

No doubt WMNT has a rap sheet a mile long, to a point that one wonders why its license has not been revoked. A few years back, the FCC cited them for leaving the door to the studios unlocked at all hours, which the FCC contends that anyone could waltz in and broadcast offensive programming -- which WMNT would be responsible for.

My guess is the Investigate channel. They own it. It's kinda like the old version of 20/20, when Barbara Walters was still on it... or the old version of dateline, before "to catch a preditor" was on. Only difference is they use local investigative stories from all of the Grey stations' news stations. Interesting idea, but not professional looking. Looks like a typical Lima, Ohio type of newscast. Low budget and low quality.

I think it'll either be H&I, Dabl, or Start.

More Star Trek! Forget BBCA! I would love to see Heros and Icons in Toledo. I think corporate will go with investigate TV. JS

If WMNT went down to a regular LPTV instead of Class A, they would not have been required to log children’s programming, at least is my understanding. However, they would not have been guaranteed a spot in the repack.

Interesting position they put themselves in.

What amazed me about WMNT-CA in its analog days was their nightly airing of "Make Room for Daddy"/"Danny Thomas Show" -unedited, complete with cigarette commercials! In the 21st century! (American Tobacco Company was at least a sponsor if they didn't produce and deliver the program outright).
