A place to go for those of you who wish to discuss happenings in OH, IN, IL, WI, and Ontario. OSU sucks, by the way.

WLUK fail

In this news clip, Green Bay FOX affiliate WLUK considered the UP to be part of Canada.

This mistake is very baffling because:
(a) Menominee County (in the UP) is in their coverage area
(b) Until about ten years ago (prior to Marquette getting a competent FOX affiliate), most of the Upper Peninsula was in their coverage area. Even before serving as FOX for most of the Upper Peninsula, it was the default NBC (and until 1983, ABC) affiliate for most of the UP and (prior to 1971) one of three full ABC affiliates that served parts of the Traverse City market.

Looks like Sinclair is hiring people who didn’t excel in their fourth grade geography bees.

Well, duh...especially when you consider that several of WLUK's sister station's newscasts are currently being produced out-of-state with no local anchors.

My furthest DTV tropo: KDKA Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at 202 miles for three days in January 2017 and a night in September 2017 with only an Antennas Direct C2V!

Current setup: Antennas Direct C2Max (2018-present)
