106.5 The Truth Network
106.5 The Truth Network
Looks like the praise thing was a smoke screen. 106.5 is back on, there broadcasting in mono, not sure if they will stick with that or not. The Call letters are WTOD still, so either Cumulus just let them have them or there waiting for approval for new ones.
Re: 106.5 The Truth Network
Not off to a good start, the station has been airing dead air since Friday night. Looks like there going to stick with broadcasting in mono. So, is the station still broadcasting from Arlington ave? or are they in a new location?

Seems to be completely off the air now. Maybe they were struck down by lightning.

Never mind. The transmitter is back on, with dead air again.
Re: 106.5 The Truth Network
Could of been the storm on Friday night but the fact it's been Airing dead air like this almost 3 days now makes me think no one is really manning the ship.

Re: 106.5 The Truth Network
There's no static like there was for most of the time since its launch, but it's been completely dead air for a few days now.
Re: 106.5 The Truth Network
Yeah since Friday night. It's Wednesday now, the lights are on but no ones home.
Re: 106.5 The Truth Network
Good lord they sound pure crap! The volume is really low and there's this annoying buzzing sound(how ironic), also the audio levels are all over the place.

Yeah, if the WBUZ call letters were still available for 106.5 it'd be a perfect fit for that station. Reminds me of an old AM station in Ann Arbor, WYBN, which supposedly stood for: "We're Your Business News" but a better interpretation of the calls for that station could have been: "We're Your Buzzy Noise."

Re: 106.5 The Truth Network
I definitely have to turn the volume up to 106.5 just to hear it. The buzzing's kind of quiet, but still annoying. I can't see any normal listener tuning in for an extended period of time.
Re: 106.5 The Truth Network
LOL I remember that! WYBN was awful. WTOD ain't too far behind them, what a mess.80sTalkRadioFan wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 9:21 amYeah, if the WBUZ call letters were still available for 106.5 it'd be a perfect fit for that station. THE TRUTH is, their audio is worse than a common AM station, in fact, AM stations in the late 80's sounded better than the fluctuating monophonic hum audio on 106.5 FM. Not that I expected it to sound as good as Ed's stereo version of WJR?
