In this news clip, Green Bay FOX affiliate WLUK considered the UP to be part of Canada.
This mistake is very baffling because:
(a) Menominee County (in the UP) is in their coverage area
(b) Until about ten years ago (prior to Marquette getting a competent FOX affiliate), most of the Upper Peninsula was in their coverage area. Even before serving as FOX for most of the Upper Peninsula, it was the default NBC (and until 1983, ABC) affiliate for most of the UP and (prior to 1971) one of three full ABC affiliates that served parts of the Traverse City market.
Acceptable registrations in the queue through June 3 at 5:00p ET have now been activated. Enjoy! -M.W.

Well, duh...especially when you consider that several of WLUK's sister station's newscasts are currently being produced out-of-state with no local anchors.Myron Falwell wrote: ↑Thu Feb 07, 2019 8:05 amLooks like Sinclair is hiring people who didn’t excel in their fourth grade geography bees.
