92.7 WRUP

Post by TheForce » Sat Aug 22, 2015 9:51 pm

Had the pleasure of hearing 92.7 WRUP (http://wrup.com/) en route to Grand Marais yesterday. Played some decent tunes. Radio offerings up that way weren't the best so this was a breath of fresh air.

They're a big signal up that way. I can get them at times in Manistee despite the 92.7 translator in Ludington and the 92.7 in Kewaunee

3 weeks ago I was driving between Petoskey and Charlevoix and picked them up on a scan just on the west side of Petoskey. In stereo, no static, and RDS that identified the station and songs. Came in like a local. Was suprised.

Good station but is satellite fed from Westwood One's Classic Rock feed, much like Oscoda's Thunder Rock 100.7 and Ludington's 94.1 K Rock...

92.7 is actually secondary to 98.3 in Marquette. So if you are in and around Marquette you can keep enjoying it on 98.3.
