9&10 is such a mess right now

A couple of us were talking at the station about the new political reporter we hired. Don't know much about him, but we're confused about what he does. It seems he's a print reporter pretending to be a TV reporter. We never see him on the air? When we aired the State of the State on Wednesday, instead of shooting a story...he wrote an article.

I was watching the Lions game on our station yesterday and saw an ad for "BrewVine"...which is a ridiculous idea. We're now charging 9.99 for it? Are we that financially strapped that we need to charge our viewers for this? The more and more we talk about it in our breakroom, the more we're all concerned the end is near.

Both the Comma and the Amphersand run a lot of stories from the NATIONAL desk or from another source which defeats the purpose of Local News. I want more follow ups to local stories on shootings or attempted murders. Both stations have become jokes.

I don't think anyone at the Comma in the Hertiage Building is making any decisions, it's a massive shit show... especially when Bill Froelich and the crazy hair chick have no morning chemistry... and what is with the Booty Jesus only doing reports during the 7 and 8 am hours on 33??? Why isn't she on the Comma at 5 and 6 when I'm in the gym working out???

Oh well... I hope the Booty Jesus gets a larger roll at the Comma.

I do want 9&10 to be better. There has to be a better alternative than the commentary posing as news on Sinclair’s WPBN. Sad that northern Michigan doesn’t have better alternatives when I visit up north.

It never used to be from what the veterans tell me. The lack of leadership and direction hurts our station so much. Our COO has only a sales background, and our owner is never here. Our ND barely has any experience and is making decisions that have hurt the product.

I hope you all can figure something out before its too late. At one time the market was solid. It's just a shell of its former self now. It's concerning having high turnovers and relatively inexperienced individuals running the show. I would think the owner would take a more proactive approach looking after their business.

There’s going to be turnover. It’s a starter market.

You have one of the smallest station owners running 9&10… competing against one of the largest station owners (Sinclair) running 7&4. And they have the same game plan… so as little news with as little cost.

It’s no reason why people are leaving.

Sinclair is falling apart at the top and it is working its way down to local stations.

Heritage and the Comma lost its way when Mario passed. Since then, talent have been jumping ship and now you're stuck with Bill Froelich hosting the morning News.

It is sad for northern michigan. We may be a small market, but a mighty market.

I'm surprised that 9&10 haven't been sold to a Gray, Nexstar, or TEGNA maybe they have no interest in 9&10.
