I don't believe they can do that one since Bob isn't legally a MacDonald Garber property.

Not to mention that it lost it's appeal. It sort of morphed into The Fox.

Actually if you think about, they could move the Bob format over to 106.7, freeing up TC's 104.5 to be simulcast with the 104.7/1340 "The Ticket" combo in Petoskey, which would give the market an FM sports presence, which would be separated in the evenings for local high school sports coverage in their respective areas.

Blah blah blah...

Everyone always speculates on who should move what where and who should buy what station. It's all some ideal world based on how radio should be and what WE all want.

The station will broadcast religious programming... because that's the reality of the industry. :horns

Would you actually expect anything different?

I doubt seriously MacDonald Garber will have religious programming on the station.

Sports Talk in any form has failed miserably in this market. We either just don't care about sports, or we get it from other better sources.

Seems to be doing OK in Cadillac. 93.7 The Ticket has persisted for years now.

I look at the revenue. Have you seen how many tries have failed?

We don't have any sports teams, and half this area comes from someplace else, so running Detroit sports doesn't draw much of an audience.

Well, on market wide signals that aren't Ancient Modulation, I count one (106.7).

Competitors locked up most of the valuable play by play rights.

If you think there aren't plenty of Red Wings, Lions, MSU and U-M fans in Northern Michigan, you need to leave your little upscale bubble and pay closer attention.
