I noticed that, too. Thought that was kind of silly. Those anchors have been together all along, and probably share facilities at the station, etc. But, maybe its good to set a good example on the air.

I've seen groups of giddy young whippersnappers running though supermarkets with no masks on. They ought to stay home. That's the downside of canceling classes. And the somewhat older ones should not go to hipster hangouts. All of these young careless people should realize that they are possibly spreading it to both associates and the older people around them. They think they are immune to consequences.

Not if by not living in fear you spread the virus around, just because you are asymptomatic.

I'm not sure in this case that fear is such a bad thing.

I wouldn't wait 20 years to watch the recordings. I would review them during the next few campaign seasons and note which elected officials did--or didn't--do a satisfactory job managing this crisis.

As far as 9/11 goes: I popped a new six-hour tape into my VCR and hit record a couple minutes after I heard on the radio that something was brewing in New York. I've watched it maybe twice since that day. The impact on daily life by agencies such as the TSA and police-state regulations such as the PATRIOT Act are constant, unpleasant reminders of that fateful day.
