WWTV-FM / WWAM Aircheck from 1969

Post by Schyster » Tue Apr 16, 2019 1:15 pm

I found this on YouTube - a roughly 20 minute unscoped aircheck from WWTV-FM and WWAM from 1969. Based on the audio quality I am assuming it was recorded off of the FM, although the AM appears to be the primary station at this point.

I wonder if this is the same aircheck that was posted on the now defunct ReelRadio site.

I enjoyed that Fun and Games song. Looking at the ARSA website it appears to have chiefly been a hit on the West Coast. However, there's also a WZZM 95.7 survey that has "Grooviest Girl in the World" listed at #31, so obviously it sold a few copies around West Michigan as well.

Incidentally, I found a page from the TC Record-Eagle from May 29, 1968, that included this ad:

WE INTERRUPT THIS NEWSPAPER TO BRING YOU A SPECIAL BULLETIN!
