Should I Apply for this?

Post by FakeAndyStuart » Fri Dec 08, 2023 7:39 am

A Northern Michigan station owner bought an ad on Inside Radio and wrote:We’re looking to add a GM to the team in the new year. It will be a new addition to the team, as the owner has been doing the job for years and looking to focus on the bigger picture.
Who's looking for a new GM?

Roy Henderson?

Oh wait, it says "good facilities"

My mistake.

Second sentence says “no stress”. REALLY? Given what I’ve read on these pages, that’s far from the truth

If it is Roy Henderson, it should say POTENTIALLY good facilities. One doesn't have a tower, the last I heard. Another couple have POTENTIAL, but require considerable money to live up to their potential. Plus, you have to know when to declare victory and move on, not keep putting the money back into another gamble, in my opinion.

I'm agreeing with Craig I bet it's Jerry. He's obviously past retirement age and probably wants to slow down

Those are good guesses. Also wondering if it could be Dom Theodore's stations?

Alpena also came to mind.

Dom is only in his early 50's. Not sure how he would spend his days if he wasn't running his stations. But who knows?

I was a bit surprised when he settled up there. He spent a lot of time in much warmer places, like Tampa, and Houston, places that are not known for cold, dreary weather. He also turned down a lucrative gig in New York.
