You can't upload anything in a PM. I can send it via email.

msommers,

Try renaming the file to something more simple, such as "logo.jpg" and see if you have any luck with that.

Your file size might be too large.

Found this on the floor of the old WTOM studio outside of Cheboygan this past summer. Used to hang on the wall with double sided tape for the camera to capture. From what I've been told, the last news casts were done there in 1972 before being consolidated to Traverse City.

Yep! That's the logo used from the early 80s until around 1986 when Beam bought them out. However, when Federal got a hold of the station around 1990, they flipped back to the old red, white and blue logo. I referred it to the "7de4" logo because the "&" looked like a 'de' to me. However, I'm not sure when it was first used; my guess was when Biederman sold it to US Tobacco.

Someone let you in the building? I didn't think anyone was around there anymore. Why would they need to capture the logo with a camera if newscasts weren't done there? This tells me it was probably around '72 or so.

7&4 did have a news bureau there, I think.

There was one in Petoskey in the 90s, but that is the only one I know of up there. I always wondered why the don't use the Cheboygan building anymore. But if you don't have the advertisers, why stick around to cover the area...

Yes, they still have transmitters there. It's like a time capsule without the camera equipment and news set. Desks and studio are still there.

The studios were used there until 1972 when they were consolidated over to TC.

This is in the WTCM lobby. I am currently working on research on this bus. If anyone knows anything let me know...

I was just surprised someone was actually there. I have never seen a car there. Wonder what studio looks like.
