Cheboygan's was B&C way back in the day before Glen's.
I went to camp near Cheyboygan almost 40 years ago. I heard that the B & C stood for Beat Em and Cheat EM.
I have a feeling that I might not get an answer to this but here goes. Does anyone remember a station in the Cheyboygan area showing Gilligan's Island around the summer of 1980? I remember watching it at camp in a staff lounge.
Acceptable registrations in the queue through June 3 at 5:00p ET have now been activated. Enjoy! -M.W.

From a July 1980 edition of the Ludington Daily News, the following stations aired Gilligan's Island:sfpcc wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2019 11:10 amI went to camp near Cheyboygan almost 40 years ago. I heard that the B & C stood for Beat Em and Cheat EM.

WWTV/WWUP (9&10) - 4:30pm M-F
WGN [cable] - 5pm M-F
WTBS [cable] - 4:30pm M-F
Re: 7&4 in 1980
Thanks for the info. It was probably WWTV/WWUP. I don't think the camp was wired for cable.

More than likely, especially if it was more toward the west end near Petoskey/Charlevoix. If it was in Cheboygan or Rogers City, then most likely 7&4. I've been told that many years ago there was sort of an 'allegiance' to WTOM, as the tower is just outside of Cheboygan. Same held true for Del Reynolds' group of radio stations as they are all local.

The camp was Walden, which is roughly five miles south southeast of Cheyboygan, (It's still there.) I think Camp Seagull was Closer to Charlevoix.
