It’s only pay to play to the extent that you need to enter to be considered. If you do crap work all year, no matter how many entries you put in, you won’t win. In the MABs, Flint-Saginaw stations compete with Grand Rapids-Kzoo stations. So it’s not a given that you’re going to win, especially when competing against traditional powerhouses like WOOD.
