I am kind of a 97.3 JOE FM guy....UPS 98.5 too with a monster signal...Kinda disappointed by not surprised that I can't get a real good clean signal in the man cave of ESPN 100.9/although ESPN sucks lately with the firing of several long time employees((although they care about is the NBA/NFL/college football.. not much hockey and baseball takes a back seat too...getting interference from WITL Lansing on 100.7 at times...low power 103.5 comes in pretty good too....and it always, even years ago and continues today, I get a real good signal from CK 105..WWCK 105.5FM....love dxing...getting some Tawas FM's and 102.1 from the thumb is pretty strong..

ya AM pretty dead..790 strong....coming from Alaska through Canada, many Yukon/British Columbia AM's shut down with FM's running several translators in towns all over those provinces...

I have Direct TV stream...unlimited useage with my plan...just ordered an outdoor TV antenna...gonna get it at least 20 feet up...great local reception with just indoor..Hoping I can get 6 and 53 in Lansing...10 may be a long shot.....Don't know about Cadillac....Getting some LP with indoor set up 17. from Midland

Retirement is fun!

what I find interesting is 105.9 FM.....Midland has a religious station
and WMLM-St Louis/Alma at 1520AM also has a translator at 105.9FM,,,I am 20 miles away from Alma/St Louis...I am 15 miles from Midland..the regious station comes in loud n clear......nothing from Alma/St Louis at 105.9..think they go north south highway 127 corridor...
99.3 WJMK oldies Saginaw comes in good... 92.3 in the truck...WSAM/WSAG 104.1FM
Consider also that cochannel LPFMs based on 100 watts ERP/30 meters HAAT, would only have to be 24 km/15 miles apart for full protection.

In reply to my question about AM 1490, they said they weren't aware of a problem and things are still rather chaotic with the move to the Midland Mall studios. So they're aware of it now.
I did note when I was in Mount Pleasant last month that the then-Highway was coming in on 1490 but the audio was very quiet and I had to turn up the volume almost to the max to hear it. It was stopping the Scan/Seek on my car radio but it almost sounded like a dead carrier. 97.7 sounded fine to me.

There is a 30 or 35 second difference between 97.7 FM & 107.7 FM because 97.7 FM has it sooner than 107.7 FM. I checked Friday that 1490 AM was not on.

Evidently, their own employees spend little to zero time personally listening to AM 1490.

As far as picking up sports/talk programming in Hemlock is concerned, AM 1280 from Alma might be the best bet (don't expect to hear them after sundown, though) if 100.9 WLUN is a tough go. I'm surprised to hear WLUN doesn't come in more easily in the Hemlock area. I've never had any issue hearing the station in the car when passing through Saginaw; usually doesn't start to get fuzzy until somewhere between the Frankenmuth and Birch Run exits when driving I-75. Then again, listening indoors is a different proposition.
Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.

And if the issue hasn't been fixed yet, they evidently don't care all that much.
I was literally the only person on the Facebook page who asked about the AM signal, so it appears very few people care. Not surprising.
I typically have no problem with WLUN along the 127 corridor between Mount Pleasant and Alma. WWBR presents little if any interference. The signal by the casino is usually pretty strong even with The Beat translator right next door. One would think it would be pretty solid in Hemlock, at least on a car radio.

I moved the radio around a bit and am getting 100.9 better...97-1 the ticket Detroit was booing like a local in the truck this morning...was able to get 1490 faintly on my Sangean and truck radio too...but it was real weak in Midland on Friday...gotta be reduced power...1280 FOX sports daytime only...

Wife drug me to Midland again...can confirm a very weak 1490/97.7/and 107.7 all running the same format...Wonder if 1490 needs to be on for 107.7 translator to remain on air?

TV 5 my go to news station...although I like the 66 at 10...never was much into TV 12

I came from Fairbanks/a very beginners market so I take tongue and cheek on the comments that rip local mid Michigan TV.

We definitely had some tropo last night/this morning. Down here in northern Washtenaw County I had WIAA overpowering Pure Garbage 89 for a few minutes. WMRX is an occasional visitor down here too, though last night I was getting WTGV on 97.7.

WGEO FM was in MONO in the early to mid 80's!!
Did you work there?

The single wide trailer in the woods under the tower in the middle of nowhere, off M-18 was quite a sight...or "site" 😆 The tower is still there for WMRX, but the trailer is long gone, from looking at Google Earth.

Seems like there was an old reel to reel automation system (popular at the time) at WGEO, but I could be wrong. It wasn't as easy to take pictures in 1980, as it is today. :smokin

Heard the station on my headphones in late 1980. Nope I was 15 years old. Also that time WCFX (known as "Foxy 95" FM) in Clare, MI (playing the Top 40 songs) also debuted in September 1980 & that station was in stereo!!
