ATSC 3.0 BROADCAST SIGNAL
Does anyone know if all the broadcast transmissions being sent out through the ATSC 3.0 shared tower are 1080i? I think WSMH ATSC 1.0 is at 780p, so I am curious if the quality got bumped up to 1080i on the shared tower.

Re: ATSC 3.0 BROADCAST SIGNAL
WJRT's signal on WSBF ATSC 3.0 is very glitchy, especially during newscasts.
Re: ATSC 3.0 BROADCAST SIGNAL
Their ATSC 1.0 signal is just as glitchy, and since they are likely simply uploading that same signal to be re-transmitted via ATSC 3.0, that's probably why.KeenerGold wrote: ↑Tue Feb 14, 2023 3:19 pmWJRT's signal on WSBF ATSC 3.0 is very glitchy, especially during newscasts.

Do the other channels have glitches?
Where are you located?
At last look the WBSF DA Pattern has a very deep null to the South, where half of their population served resides. You can talk all day about the contour supposedly serving that area, but unless there's a way to have a better pattern to the South, it will probably have problems. And with the economic conditions in the near future, inflation and such, more and more people will be going back to antennas and cancelling cable. They will be taken in by poorly performing indoor antennas when they do. I remember eating at a restaurant near Miller Rd. and I-75, with a portable DTV, and I had much better signals from Lansing East Lansing than from Flint Saginaw Bay City, and that was before the repack.

Southwestern St. Clair County for me, with an outdoor antenna.
No issues on the other stations on WSBF ATSC 3.0, just WJRT. I pick up all of the market's 1.0 stations easily except WNEM.

Re: ATSC 3.0 BROADCAST SIGNAL
It shows at least five times the power in the nulls toward your described direction. Prediction is based on a 30 foot antenna.
