Again, Mid-Michigan Now for the win!
A large structure fire in Saginaw was covered live by 25/66 tonight. ABC12 was nowhere to be found. Not a mention of the fire in the 11pm newscast. Just national packages and a blurp about the upcoming fireworks in Bay City (self promotion) and a follow up to the Holly fire that they did not cover live. You have to ask the question. Who's #3?

WEYI-WSMH is #3 & 4 — by a large margin. It’s not even close.
While 25/66 may have some newscast story wins, what they don’t have is ratings or revenue.
It does seem lately that WJRT is in a race to the bottom. Their lack of leadership and vision is killing them. The answer seems to be pretty clear, but for some reason GM Brock won’t get rid on News Director Denise.
Good coverage last night for 25/66. Bad for 12. And again WNEM 5 comes out on top. Flint has historically had good competition between 5 & 12. That’s no longer the case. But to suggest 25/66 is even in the race is also laughable.

It's not that hard to think that 25/66 is way better than 12. It's hard to sway viewers from their comfort zone. So the news ratings may not reflect it, but 25/66's product is way better than 12's. From a technical standpoint they kill 12. More local coverage. Less f-ups. Just an all around better product. Have you watched 12's product other than news? It's total shit. Stink, I know you still have a hard-on for 25/66, but the reality they put out a much better product than 12. In every way.

Does 25 still look like it's using a discarded community access set for its newscasts?
Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.

Watched some prerecorded video on the web site a little bit ago.
Some enhancements have been made to the news set since I last saw it, but it still looks too small and rather low budget compared to 5 and 12.

I believe 25 simply suffers from a small studio, not much they can do with it.

It is smaller than 12s, that's for sure. I don't have a problem with the set. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say "I won't watch that station because I don't like the news set". If that was the case that annoying screen behind the anchors at 12 would have driven viewers away in droves.organman95 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 02, 2022 5:48 pmI believe 25 simply suffers from a small studio, not much they can do with it.
