I’m old enough to remember when news anchors realized that they were in the public eye and that they would receive criticism. They would not engage with people who were just out to tear them down and not provide any sort of constructive feedback.

Now, it seems like a badge of honor for a news anchor to actively engage trolls.

Check out this female news anchor who was fat-shamed, and rather than seeing it for what it was, just someone being mean, she used news time, even pointing her finger at the camera in an accusatory way, to make this all about her.

This is desperation and a cry for attention from the news personnel.
