Allen currently owns the Weather Channel. While purchasing the Tegna stations won’t make him a big player like Nexstar, Sinclair (owner of 25-66) or Gray (future owner of 5), he would be a player in this recent media conglomerate consolidation trend. And unlike Nexstar, Gray and Sinclair who are at the 40% market share cap from the FCC, Allen could still potentially buy more stations down the road.

Over extended yourself, then like in radio, cut stations down to a shadow of themselves because you can't make payments. Wonderful.
