Probably because the World Series was on FOX66 past 11 and they gave their crew the night off considering they can’t run syndicated programs currently because of the malware attack

Organman: it definitely wasn’t because we weren’t working. Systems here are still a H*** mess. Instead of “fixing” the problems resulting from our ransomware attack, WEYI and other Sinclair stations are using this corporate-made issue to promote its National Desk newscasts instead of airing local newscasts. This is what the corporate Death Star now believes is acceptable.

Do they not give a 💩💩💩 that they’re coming across like a complete joke and laughing stock, not only locally but nationwide? Instead of the syndicated programs that they’re scheduled to show (and bought), they’re showing their digital networks that probably don’t have many viewers in the first place. It’s been 2 weeks since they were hacked and there has been zero progress, at least on air, to going back to normal. Give me a break

Realist: you know how much I dislike giving 25-66 any credit. That being said, local management does care about how this ransomware attack response is being mishandled. They see the negative impact it is having on our already tarnished reputation, which will make it even more difficult to raise ratings and ad sales.

The problem is they feel there’s little they can do at a local level to “fix” the network problems… and they refuse to deviate from the corporate directives. Our local managers — while sympathetic to viewer concerns — are lemmings willing to jump off the cliff.

Few issues at WWMT in Kalamazoo, to the best of my knowledge.

The Flint stations are clearly near the bottom of the proverbial totem pole.

We are regarded as a failed station by Sinclair Death Star. There is no totem pole for us.

Simple solution for the Sinclair Corporate morons - sell 25/66/CW to someone who knows what the hell they’re doing and will invest some money in your news product. The skeleton crew you guys are running with after layoffs has got to be embarrassing.

It seems that Sinclair is tending it its larger markets and higher-rated stations first, letting the smaller markets and "bottom dwellers" to fend for themselves. The consequence of this is that there may be fewer viewers of stations such as 25 or 66, once their problems have been resolved. If your favorite supermarket stopped carrying your favorite potato chips and its competition still sells them, often at a better price, would you go back to your former "favorite" supermarket when they did start selling those chips again?

WEYI is not the only one, WATM TV the Sinclair ABC affiliate in Altoona/Johnstown, Pa. airs TND at 6:30 am and 11 pm with only a WJAC TV Produced 6pm "ABC23NewsCentre", and looks like other "lesser watched" Sinclair stations may follow suit [ Toledo's WNWO maybe ] IMO It kinda smells like SInclair is getting VERRRRY desperate to save money to stay above water
