He's not seemed to post anywhere regarding his next destination. Perhaps back north, to Cadillac, as he spent time at NewsNet after leaving WWTV and before surfacing at WJRT?

Cheers! ~~ Statmanmi
Well, Mr. Tinker has landed in my market--at WZZM 13 Grand Rapids. Per his facebook post Monday (10/11), he started there that morning.

His bio isn't on their website yet, but there's at least one posting with his name as the byline.

He's ending up being well-traveled in Michigan, what with WWTV, NewsNet (Cadillac), WJRT, and now WZZM.

Take care, Statmanmi

It appears the Meredith-Gray sale has been approved with a closing date of December 1,

This should be good news for 5’s employees since Gray has been investing in its stations.

Sinclair owns/runs 25-66… Gray owns 5… it now looks like 12’s new owner Byron Allen is poised to become the new owner of Tegna.

The broadcaster consolidation continues…

Byron Allen will be the new owner of WZZM his biggest TV station in Michigan. Sinclair would be the oldest owner in West Michigan since everyone not named TEGNA has been sold in the past 10 years which started with Freedom selling to Sinclair WWMT in March of 2012, Lin selling to Media General in 2014 than in 2016 selling to Nexstar which went final in 2017. Nexstar buying Tribune in 2019 had to sell WXMI Fox17 to Scripps in the fall of 2019 2 years ago. Has Byron Allen been spotted in Flint to look at his TV station? I'm sure Byron isn't scared to get out of his car in Flint like Armstrong is LMAO.

Byron Allen can't fill all the timeslots with his shows he'll still need other TV stations to air some of his programs which his court shows which aren't real with paid actors & actresses are on WXSP & CW7, surprised his Comics show is still on the show hasn't been new since 2007 or 08 was on CW7 for 1 year then wasn't seen for years when WXSP took it in 2012 or 13. Then once Nexstar took over moved it to WOTV for some reason and moved RTM to WXSP until that moved backed to Fox17 since Scripps owned the show. WZZM does air some Byron Allen shows on the weekend. I know no one cares LOL.

The web site for WJRT has been changed, both in overall layout and format, and the ownership name. The WNEM web site has not changed yet.

Armstrong isn’t happy that Byron is getting all the media attention. Plus Sinclair being at the cap of market coverage means his best friend/lover of prostitutes/Sinclair board chairman David Smith can’t make any new sidecar deals that involve Armstrong.

It’s official… Gray now owns TV5.

Let’s see if there’s any difference to how the station is now being run that Meredith will no longer be calling the shots with its gimmicks.

At this typing, their site now says Gray at the bottom of any given page, but is otherwise unchanged.

It’ll be interesting to see what changes come to WNEM now that the sale is complete.

https://tvnewscheck.com/business/articl ... -purchase/

Meredith gutted some of its local news operations, reducing expenses, as it tried to find a buyer. Some of those operations, like local promotions departments, were hubbed out.

That’s not “the Gray way”, so it’ll be interesting to see how fast Gray undoes some of Meredith’s poor management practices.

WNEM's website has now been given a total cosmetic makeover.

Admittedly the page I check far most often is weather, and there they've added additional weather info that can be checked on right there.
