ABC 12’s owner Gray TV (soon to be WNEM TV5’s owner) says it will give its employees another paid holiday for Juneteenth.

I don’t think anyone can question which broadcasting companies are best to work for… and which companies, like Sinclair Broadcasting, believing in cutting costs through layoffs and pay freezes without regard to its impact on the quality of journalism being done at its local stations.

Good for Gray for taking a stand on Juneteenth… your move Sinclair.

But your post is off-topic. No thoughts on why broadcasters like Sinclair don’t recognize the federal Juneteenth holiday?
