Emmy Awards

Post by sinklair » Wed May 19, 2021 9:51 pm

The Michigan chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences released nominations for Emmy awards today. A big congratulations to my colleagues in Flint and across the state who did amazing work in some challenging conditions last year!

I find it disheartening that 25-66’s In Over Her Head News Director is attempting to take credit for all the work the news staff did covering the Midland Co. flooding. She didn’t list the reporters, photographers, producers or even the meteorologists who were responsible for the coverage. Instead she only lists herself. Absolute BS.

And it’s not the first time she’s done it. She listed herself on the Emmy Award for our Flint Water Crisis and CMU shooting coverage. NATAS’s rules say the entrant must have significant contributions to the coverage. She may be the most undeserving member of the news staff in terms of actual work on this continuing coverage.
