No congrats this year as RTDNA shut out Flint stations from the Murrow Awards.

The former 25-66 GM said awards were meaningless and started to force employees to pay for entries. Well, he apparently didn’t check first with his boss, Chris the Ripper, who sent out a news release congratulating the stations recognized by RTDNA, including KOMO TV and Radio, and talked about the important journalism being done at local stations.

We work for a bunch of idiots... cheap idiots to be exact.
Acceptable registrations in the queue through June 3 at 5:00p ET have now been activated. Enjoy! -M.W.

Try working for State Government, as I’m in the same boat. The Dilbert principal is in full effect. I’m not talking about elected positions either (that’s an whole other subject).
Re: Flint shut out of Murrow Awards
Want that Murrow Award Sinklair or the Emmy or does the upper management still have that rule by the former GM of 25/66 that you have to pay for it. I wouldn't pay to just get the award I'd let my work do it and let the TV station management enter my work for the awards and they pay for it not me.
Go Pistons, Let's Go Redwings.
Re: Flint shut out of Murrow Awards
Master: most stations have cut out paying for awards. 25-66 has paid for big team awards, but require the employees to pay for most individual award entries. Management doesn’t value recognizing the hard work of their employees. And it’s not like we’re getting rich off a Flint TV job.
