30's and 60's still the industry standard in radio?

Post by bobhuge » Thu Apr 01, 2021 3:58 pm

Am I out of touch with commercial length standardization? There is a station who sometimes produces spots that cross my desk that are 33, 47, 54... seconds. Are they NOT teaching their rookies that the industry standard is 30 and 60 seconds? Am I being picky? I have to edit probably 80-90% of their spots for time. What the heck? Is it me?
