Not a good weekend for the folks at the Sinclair corporate Death Star or it’s local news stations, like 25-66. Sinclair’s patron saint, President Donald J. Trump, retweeted a video most Sinclair stations would prefer just go away...

It’s been two years since Dave and Stephanie were told to read this crap... and the embarrassment of having this ill-conceived corporate propaganda is the unwanted gift that just keeps giving thanks to everyone’s favorite “short timer” President.

The sad situation is that Ian Rubin was losing sleep and "shaking in his boots" when he heard about Sinclair taking over WEYI. They seriously thought the duopoly was going to overtake the Flint market with their new push for news. WNEM Creative services was in awe of their promos and felt that their basic news desk promos weren't going to cut it. And, it turns out it was just smoke and mirrors. WJRT and WNEM are still dominating with doing even less work. Even with an increased over the air signal, the Sinclair stations are barely providing a dent in the market.

Sinclair made some initial good moves, investment and key hires. But the former GM/egomaniac in chief expected instant results. When decades of mismanagement weren’t able to be reversed in an unreasonably short timeline, Conklin pulled the plug and laid off some of the highest paid/most experienced talent... all to boost profitability numbers so he could get his bonus and a bump up the Sinclair chain where he is now terrorizing Seattle. In his wake, he left the same management team that was in place in the good ole Barrington days! With the new shipped in from out of town Sinclair GM in place, don’t expect anything from 25-66-46 other than running the Sinclair playbook. Morale is the lowest it’s been since the Sinclair purchase. Most expect Sinclair to give Flint the “Toledo treatment” and to have local newscasts to be hubbed out of another market like Kalamazoo. Watch for most main talent to move on when contracts are up — we’re underpaid, overworked, underappreciated and fed up with the crappy management on Pierson Road.

I saw that Sinclair was trending on Twitter on Friday I was wondering why that it was the promos from 2 years ago but Sinclair doesn't care if there trending good or bad. I remember seeing the promo on WWMT with former anchor Kate Tillotson & Andy D a couple of months after she left Kate ripped Sinclair on MLive article saying that she didn't agree with what Sinclair was doing. I don't get why Kate said no she wasn't going to do the video promo.
