The former GM/egomaniac/accountant in chief, the In Over Her Head News Director, and the HR Director/Party Planner have a history of disciplining minorities for minor infractions to either encourage them to leave or to get enough of a record to fire them (while still enforcing the non-compete). Pet projects of the hosts don’t matter, since those coverage and community outreach projects are dictated, micromanaged and criticized by the ASSistant GM/Promotions Director. 25-66 management systematically discriminates against new moms, people who have to care for a sick family member, minorities and anyone who might have a lifestyle contrary to Sinclair’s conservative values — essentially anyone but white males who don’t work at the station 24-7. They play favorites and if you’re not a “yes man”, then the station finds ways to make things miserable for everyone. And when you want to leave, you have two choices: try to break the contract and pay upwards of $10,000 in “liquidated damages” and be forced to sign a non-disclosure form or pay thousands of dollars in attorney fees to try to fight it over many months. Then Sinclair makes sure you are unable to be hired in any other market where they operate one of their 170 TV stations. It’s the equivalent to modern day slavery. So whenever we have job candidates come through Pierson Road, me and other workers warn them about how F’ed this place is.
It is obvious that you didn't read the contract, comprehend the contract, or both.
Stinkliar voluntarily, willingly, without any force or coercion signed a legally binding contract and hasn’t stopped complaining about it since. Imagine managers getting on here and complaining about their reports.

Dudley: why would they fire me? I do my job. All I’m asking is for station management to do theirs. The In Over Her Head News Director has been at the station for nearly a decade. Where are the results? Last place. Ratings down big time.

The Director of Declining Sales can’t make budgets. He’s got zero new ideas. And it’s largely his fault (along with the former GM) that we’ve seen so many budget cuts.

And don’t get me going on the ASSistant GM/Promotions Director. She couldn’t put together a branding campaign if her life depended on it. She’s all up in everyone else’s business instead of putting together a promotions and outreach plan that will get new viewers to tune in. She’s been at the station for more than a decade. She was protected by her buddy, the former GM/egomaniac/accountant in chief. No longer. She believes she should get promoted to a corporate/regional manager role. Good luck with that when you can’t even oversee the launch of the lame Mid-Michigan NOW rebranding campaign.

It’s easy for people on the Buzzboard to call for me to leave... but I find it interesting that literally no one can defend the incompetent management at 25-66 or Sinclair Broadcasting.

Many workers at 25-66 won’t put their necks too far out, but are glad someone is actually talking about these issues. Not that the station is actually addressing the issues... that’s too hard. But it is comical that they continue to try to find out who is airing their dirty laundry.

Fix the dam problems!
First off, it’s “damn,” not “dam.”

Second, who else has been there “nearly a decade”?

Deputy “Hot Rod” Harris, Joel Feick, and Lispy Toldo, all people you think are “institutions,” but are really dinosaurs loading down a sinking ship.

The place has always been going down in flames, but nobody helped it down the crapper more than Kathy Overbite, the worst news director in human history. Look on YouTube for old episodes. They’re all overexposed, over-modulated (look it up) and once featured a fricken’ hurdy gurdy on set! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0i1gStJQ_4k

She turned a photographer into a “live” reporter where he assumed a different persona, just like morning radio shows. Apparently Joel Feick wasn’t let in on the gag as he kept asking “Who are you supposed to be?” Nice. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=08q7DkCogyw

After Kathy Overbite bailed, the nerd came in and hired more former ABC12 folks, and continued the time-honored tradition of kissing Bill’s butt. The Non-classy brassy asses show went for-profit and failed big time.

Now, the east coast bimbo remains and is in charge. Clearly promoted way above her skill, talent, or experience, but she can’t find anything else. She lacks the confidence to ask for help, so her career will likely die there and it’s her own fault.

Any questions?

There also has been no attempt to add any diversity in management ranks. With only ONE exception, it’s the all white club:

General Manager: white woman
Director of Sales: white man
Local Sales Manager: white woman
National Sales Manager: white woman
Digital Sales Manager: white woman
Business Manager: white man
Human Resources: white woman
Programming Manager: white woman
Research Manager: white man and white woman
Creative Services Director: white man
Director of Engineering: Hispanic man
Chief Engineer: white man
IT Director: white man
Master Control Supervisor: white woman
Promotions Director: white woman
News Promotions Manager: white man
Traffic Supervisor: two white men
News Director: white woman
Sports Director: white man
Chief Photographer: white man
Executive Producers: white man
Digital Content Manager: white man
Director of Special Projects: white man
Group news manager: white man
Regional station manager: white man
Regional sales manager: white man
Regional promotions manager: white man

This is a failure of leadership at 25-66 to find, cultivate and keep a diverse management team. They have failed to do so over many years. Representation matters, especially in a community a diverse as Flint.

Fix the dam problems!

New Buzzboard Rule: if you can’t argue the facts, then just attack the poster.

As Dave Bondy says, I’m just “keeping it real”.

Now instead of criticizing me, I’d live any of our Buzzboard friends to provide any real ideas on how 25-66 station management can fix the dam problems.

Dave Blondie keeps it about as real as a pro wrestling match.

Oh, and he’s the wrong race to be saying that anyway.

Oh, and it’s “damn,” not “dam.” I’m enjoying your trolling of me! It’s quite a turn-on!

Typical Liberal Ideology, changes the rules in the middle of the game, because they don't like the way the situation is heading.

Maybe one day this person, will put some Adult Pants on.

I’m sure Sinclair already knows who the person is, as everybody does, and won’t renew.

What’s the difference between the Ellen Show and 25-66 management?

Ellen owns up to her mistakes and her responsibility to fix the low morale and toxic culture.

Over at 25-66, they run for their offices, close the door, and pretend that there’s nothing wrong.

They run to work in their offices while you run here to complain. What’s the difference?
