If you left a real TV station like WXYZ to work at 25-66 only to find it so poorly run by micro-managers who consistently make bad decisions, you’d be dejected too.

Didn’t Mike leave WXYZ only because his contract wasn’t renewed?

I’m sure if he can get back into the Detroit market at the end of his contract, he’ll be gone ASAP

Damn it, bring back the other Mike, Mike Redford (from 22 years back on NBC 25)!!! Too bad that he lives in Kalamazoo.

Woolfolk came at a time when Sinclair was investing in the station. There was diversity at the station with Kristen Aguirre, Ilse Lujan Hayes, Courtney Wheaton, Kelli Taylor, Sharisse Thompson, Miranda Parnell and others behind the scenes.

Most left or were driven out by the former egomaniac/accountant in chief and the current micromanager/in over her head News Director.

Woolfolk is underpaid. He doesn’t even live in the market. That shows he’ll likely jump ship when there’s an opportunity in his contract. But he’s a good journalist and doesn’t cause drama, so he won’t openly complain about everything that’s wrong on Pierson Road. But he makes 25-66 a better station.

Redford was good too during his time in Detroit and Flint. But I doubt he’d ever reassociate himself with WEYI.
