Over 30 years ago back in October of 1989, WGER (106.3 FM) went from "Beautiful Music" to Soft Rock Adult Contemporary mellow songs. One of the DJ's was Jerry O'Donnell!! Back either in April or May of 1991, WGER did a commercial & said "Finally, a soft rock station for the Tri-Cities" & played Michael Bolton's "Love Is A Wonderful Thing" & at the end of the commercial, they played Elton John's "You Gotta Love Someone" & the announcer said "Soft Rock 106.3 WGER". Also in the Summer of 1989, WGER played "A Touch Of Jazz" show at around 7:00 till 9:00 in the evening BUT did not do well.
