Staffing at WEYI as another reporter exits
Staffing at WEYI as another reporter exits
Alexis Ware has posted she is leaving and starts her new job at WWJ Radio next week. How are they able to get a news product on the air and if they can at what point will they run out of people? One might assume more people will leave as it seems the flow is constant out the door right now.
Re: Staffing at WEYI as another reporter exits
Sounds like Karin might have to go out and do some stories if this keeps up.
Re: Staffing at WEYI as another reporter exits
That would require Karin to leave her office.

Congratulations to Alexis on her promotion!OnTopic wrote: ↑Tue Nov 22, 2022 1:13 pmAlexis Ware has posted she is leaving and starts her new job at WWJ Radio next week. Karin can turn the lights off
Re: Staffing at WEYI as another reporter exits
The problem is that Karin is blaming every but herself for where the station is right now. She’s not completely wrong. Our former GM and News Director ran this place into the ground. However Karin knew that when she took the job. Now it’s her responsibility to fix it and make it better. But she’s not. Not one single new idea to improve the quality of journalism, improve our team, or improve morale. It’s like Sinclair hires the worse managers on purpose..

Local tv news is dead. Especially at nbc25
I heard the rumor of a potential buyer for nbc25 and wsmh and that an announcement could be coming of a sale in December.

There may not be new owners, but the idea of running newscasts out of market becomes more real as each day passes.
turn up the radio! mighty in might!
Re: Staffing at WEYI as another reporter exits
You mean hubbing the news from outside Flint DMA, Fanny/LL101, and the many usernames you have. It could be The National Desk where I'm sure Stinkclair reports were on sometimes before he left 25/66 LMAO. WWMT is doing the news for 25/66 come the new year and Karin will be out of a job since she has no one doing the news in Flint.Deleted User 15867 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 11:30 pmLocal tv news is dead. Re: Staffing at WEYI as another reporter exits
I heard her this week on WWJ as an ordinary reporter. No anchor duty, no fancy stuff.
