If you want to see a half hearted attempt at wishing someone well, look at the “master class” put on by the talent-less and classless egomaniac that is Leslie Toldo.

Pot, meet kettle.

What's more pathetic: harassing an old man who is paying to do a radio show or supporting a grifter like Trump?

Matt: difference is that I no longer work or am paid by 25-66.

Leslie is.

The management at WEYI-WSMH continues to make a business investment in Ms. Toldo… even with her unacceptable performance. She has caused so much strife behind the scenes. No one wants to work with her. Yet, the GM, former news directors, the HR Director all allow Leslie to get away with creating a hostile work environment while good employees just decide to resign or break contracts.

The first job Karin should do is to look at Leslie’s HR file and send her packing.

And you’re better with your obsession of Sinklair, Matt?

You spend 1/2 your time attacking Sinklair (and others who you seem to disagree with). So Sinklair worked at 25/66 (and then you speculate who you think it was) - so what? He points out 💩 that anyone with brain that watches their newscasts can see - a revolving door of reporters, weather and sports people who have come and gone. They were decent and putting out a top quality newscast for a while but SBC didn’t get the ratings so they stopped renewing contracts and stopped putting money on their over their air product. He points out a lot of obvious stuff.

Grow up and get off your high horse. Pretty sad also since you don’t even live in this TV market and seem to dislike “Sagnasty”, as you call it (although you’re from there)….

So you are defending him shitting on Leslie? Also, telling me to grow up while defending stink the malcontent is a little rich.

Well he’s not the only one who has shit on Leslie. Ever think there are some issues there? Ever think there was SOMETHING behind her getting fired from ABC12? Ever think there was something going on when her contract wasn’t renewed in Detroit?

Calling someone a malcontent is immature. You haven’t changed much in 20+ years

Once again, Matt likes to bash me and others, but provides zero useful information. He can’t argue with the facts, so he attempts to disparage those of us who are actually fighting for the station to reinvest and improve the quality of its newscasts. Sinclair is one of the largest local broadcasters in America. It’s owner — the Smith family — is one of the richest families in the country. They can afford to put some of that money back into the people who are keeping their TV stations on the air.

But you won’t hear that from Matt. He’s just obsessed with bashing those of us who actually care about improving the journalism and station that serve the Flint and Saginaw community. You may not like our tactics, but you can’t defend the news being put on by 25-66 could be improved.

If Becky or Karin want to shut us up, there’s a simple solution… pay your people better, restore staffing sizes, keep the politics and sales initiatives out of the newscasts. If that’s done, you’ll have a much happier News department.

You can tell what I'm like based on what I post here? Interesting...

Do you honestly think local management has significant budgetary OR editorial influence? Saginaw/Flint is a small market and a stepping stone for most.

Of course they do have an impact on budget decisions. Do you honestly think David Smith or Scott Livingston are making decisions about vehicle replacement in Flint… or when HR Director Ashley is holding grilled cheese employee appreciation lunches… or the budget for mileage reimbursement for marketing consultants (AE’s) to meet with advertisers? Of course they’re not making those decisions.

Department heads submit their budgets to the GM… who has to make decisions based off the profitability numbers handed down by Sinclair corporate. If they want to see a 17% return and you’re only at 14%, then it’s time for the GM to make cuts until you get to the magic number.

But these are 100% decisions that local managers are making. And it’s 100% their responsibility to make sure those investments help support the daily work of the news reporters, marketing consultants, directors, photographers, commercial producers, etc. that do the work to keep the lights on.

You don’t see too many skinny TV station managers. They can afford to make decisions that benefit the entire team… not just the top sales and station managers.

Karin failed at WNEM. She was hired by the GM who took over for Al Blinke, and that GM was canned. Then Karin got kicked over to Kansas City before she was kicked out. The people at WEYI will soon understand why.
