All that's happening is she's moving back to afternoons for a while. She and Rob Sparks will be swapping air shifts.

Never been a fan of her on-air, and that's an understatement. However, I have great respect for her being so transparent about her intersex and mental health issues. I wish her the best in resolving it all and getting her health in order. After all, that's really all you have is good health, and I think God and family understand.

Honestly I give Cumulus a lot of credit for handling this change fairly well. The show has not worked but was given 5 years of latitude as Lori's creation. But they also have really leaned on the girl power aspect and put themselves in a bit of a corner to make changes without some backlash.

Draping the show changes with mental health issues lets them use the de rigueur topic of women's depression and anxiety as a clean way to remove a member of the show and give it a big upgrade with Rob Sparks who helmed a very successful morning show in South Bend. They also pacify any clients who still want to work with the beauty queen by shifting her to afternoons where she only has to ramp up intros.

While wholesale changes to the morning show would have likely yielded better results. The moves as made keep everything palatable and leave room for future moves with less resistance.

I think I vaguely remember this lady from WGRD. Hopefully, a shift to afternoons will take some of the pressure off. I was two paragraphs in before the writer revealed what station she works for (105.3)
